The Effectiveness of Economic Sanctions in Preventing Conflict From an International Law Perspective

The Hague Center for Law and Arbitration (“HCLA- NETWORK“), in collaboration with esteemed speakers from the HCLA, University of Oxford, University of Birmingham, and Diplomatic Academy of Brussels/Vrije Universiteit Brussel, is hosting an exclusive panel discussion on the topic of “International Sanctions.”.
The Speakers who shall kick-off the debate with their presentations on the subject matters revolving around international sanctions, shall be:
- Thomas John (HCLA & Resolution2Resolve)
- Alexander Orakhelashvili (University of Birmingham)
- Antonios Tzanakopoulos (University of Oxford)
- Bernard Siman OBE (Vrije Universiteit Brussel)
The Event will be hosted through Zoom, which shall be fully utilised for the discourse between the Speakers, and the audience. To this extent, a limited number of people can participate in the Event, and priority is given to business managers, international lawyers, diplomats, investors, and stakeholders in the topics to be discussed.
